Sunday Times Fast Track 100
After being named in the Fastest 50 growth companies based in the North East, The Specialist Hire Group Ltd gained national recognition for its rapid growth by being named in the Fast Track 100 in the Sunday Times on 2nd December 2007.
Fast Track measures sales growth over the previous four years amongst privately owned companies in the UK, with the Specialist Hire Group recording a 61% compound annual growth rate. Commenting on the listing Chairman Peter Cosgrove said:
‘Whilst part of our growth has come through acquiring businesses, we have also managed to grow our business organically. Our crane hire division of Jardine Crane Hire and Marsden Crane Hire has grown by 80% over the period without the help of any acquisitions and we are investing over £2M in new equipment in 2008 to maintain this growth.
'In our forklift division we are capturing new customers with our innovative approach to problem solving and our industry leading Fleet Management System, where customers can log in online to look at the records of all the forklift trucks in their fleet, book services, report breakdowns and look at their accounts records’.
He added that:
‘The great thing about these awards is the recognition it gives to all the hard work done by our staff to build the business. This is really their achievement'.
